I know FoodTV isn't popular around here, but I haven't seen much re: Top Chef. Self-described foodies seem to like it, but I was wondering how working chefs feel. I always thought they chose chefs based on their TV presence or drama potential in lieu of raw talent, but once in a while I see a chef that's a bit more convincing (like the pair that trained under Charlie Palmer). Still, I'm not a chef and can't help feeling like we're getting duped. What are your thoughts?
