New Kitchen Tools Save to MyRecipes

Postby CookingThyme on Mon Nov 02, 2009 3:42 pm

Hi everyone!

I am planning on buying a whole new set of kitchen tools for my home because mine are sooooo old. I have heard good things about the OXO brand. Does anybody have/use this brand?

OXO is fine and so are tons of other brands. You don't list a location, so assuming you're not in the middle of the Kalahari, head to the nearest good kitchen or restaurant supply store and check out the multiple choices available.

I third that but will also add you should only buy what you need otherwise you can end up wasting money on things you never use, also buy what your there to buy... a potato peeler with a suction cup to stick it to the counter is stupid if it was such a great idea all of them would come with one, it wont help you it will only frustrate you.

awesome- thanks for all the suggestions!

The reason I was looking into OXO is because they are having a contest to win $1000 worth of products for your house, so I was thinking of entering it (since I can't really afford to buy all new kitchen tools right now). All I need to do is record a video of myself demoing my favorite kitchen tool and I can be entered to win. The website is http://www.oxocontest.com in case any of you are interested as well :)

::chef_laugh:: I couldn't begin to tell you all the stupid stuff I've bought over the years. Usually my buys were to fulfill some "need," but I went about it as cheaply as possible.
