I really hate when a website (Encarta) doesn't make a printer friendly version available to their patrons...

So, to that end, I've cut and pasted the article into Word... and made it into a PDF for all of those interested...

Hmm... I don't see how to add an attachment here... so, I guess anyone interested can email me at Sorry, Andy. We don't 'allow' emails to be posted. It helps keep the spammers away. [/color] for a copy. Just put C2C ARTICLE in the subject line so that you'r email will make it past my spam filters...

I hope this will be helpful to some of the other "Junior" Members here on on C2C (and beyond)...

Regards,

Andy

Kudos to the author of this article. I wish I had of read this before I went out and got a bunch of education loans....I am looking at owing a pretty chunk of change after I get done. Not good for a guy who is coming off of disabililty to pursue his dream. But, I learned quite a bit from the article. I have already applied for as many grants and scholarships as I qualify for...hoping to land at least a few to help with the cost of my passion. It's a labor of love...and I can't wait to get started!! Again, the article is a great read and has some very good advice. I hope that all current and aspiring culinary students take a minute ande read this article. It will give you some great ideas on where to look for culinary funding.

I can definitely vouche for this information. I was a recipient of a $2000 scholarship ($1k per semester) from the Restaurant Association and also received a $1000 scholarship from the mayor of Jacksonville (Latino American Scholarship) during my first year of school. Scholarships and grants are a tremendous help for students who have to juggle school, work, commute time to school, and family.

A lot of people want to see us succeed, so do some research and see what you qualify for. I'm into my second year of school now and I could definitely use the help again.

Thanks for posting the great article!
