For 6 persons,you need:

2g of salt
75g of flour
2 eggs
60g of butter
2 spoons of cognac or rum
100g of jam of apricot

Firstly mince 125g of walnuts.
In a potted meat, mix the walnuts, the sugar, the salt and the flour.
Then add the butter (melted),the eggs, the spoons of alcohol and mix.
Then butter a rectangular mould.
Then garnish the oven with a buttered paper.
Then pour the paste.
Let it cook during 10 minutes thermostat 5 or 6.
Let it cool.
Turn out.
Take away the paper and make 6 pieces.
Then coat each piece of jam of apricot.
Adorn the pieces of a green walnut.
You can taste this cake with tea.

Philippe:

What are the measurements of the pan for this cake?

It sounds delicious!
Wine is the food that completes the meal.

Philippe : having guests from Paris we have a question.
Is it true that La rue Daubenton is in the 5ème Arrondissement (Quartier Latin) ? It's a bet here. Please reply seulement pour les pauvres garcons (ces pauvres garcons are my 2 grandsons from Paris being with their granddad for a couple of days).
Merci beaucoup.
