Flash Frozen Truffles - Need Source Save to MyRecipes

Postby Trufflez on Sun Mar 18, 2007 9:35 pm

I'm in Los Angeles and I'm looking for a source for flash frozen Perigord truffles. Surfas in Culver City can special order them (from Urbani and I can order them directly from them as well) but only in large amounts. Is anyone familiar with a source in Los Angeles where I can buy flash frozen truffles by the ounce and not the pound? I'll go for an online wholesaler/retailer as well but I'd rather not as there's always shipping costs involved.

Much appreciated! Image Image Image

Try Dairyland. They're out of Los Angeles and their number is (323) 581-7999.

Check out this link, they are not located in Cal., but they do have them and others. I have been using this company for around 5 years now. Very reliable.

i agree w gbs.... dairyland has some superior products in the line of specialty goods. i use the flash frozen perigord truffle, as well as some other more pricey products that you might not expect them to carry. their caviar is pretty freakin good, get my pick of bobo farms or hv foie gras, pheasant, boar, whatever. good luck
