Are there any restaurants near you? Perhaps one would take you on as an apprentice? You may start out washing dishes, but in time, if you work hard, and are willing to learn, you will have opportunities to do more and more...

Dido what Derek said. Check out the local resturants by either dishwashing, then working your way up, or if you are lucky getting a prep cook job.

P.S. No such thing as "teen chef".

You have taken the first step by developing the interest. Be courageous and seek every opportunity to learn. Working with dough can be fun and dough is very forgiving when things don't go well. Try some flat breads using a pan, using a grill and open pit is a great idea too! I make 30 to 40 loaves of bread per week and give them away to friend, family and strangers. Stay with it.

You will learn something even in the worst restaurant. Usually, you will learn how NOT to do something, whether it's a cooking method, treatment of ingredients or how to treat people.

And learning what NOT to do IS as valuable as learning what TO do.

Adi, I don't know what "more info" we can give you here on-line. Get yourself into a commercial kitchen. It's a good thing.

My point is define "chef". I have yet to hear a definition that a "teen" would fit in. So called "teen chefs" are cooks. Image
