Tater Mitts Save to MyRecipes

Postby IcyMist on Wed May 30, 2007 7:44 pm

Has anybody tried these mitts yet? We don't eat that many potatoes, but I sure wish I had had these when I was a lot younger.

SmokeyJoe, you should see my mother when she chops up a rutabega. She grabs a hammer and one of my favorite knives(:( sits it on the counter and starts banging on the knife with the hammer. Noisy, has broken a knife, but it does a good job of chopping. Actually I don't fuss at her too much because I know I am going to have something really yummy to eat.

Have you ever tried a cold rutabega sandwich? Just a little mayo, bread and the rutabega? If not try it, it is wonderful!!!

I have not tried these, but saw a write up on them and the article said the taters had to be parboiled first. Only received a 1/2 star (out of 5) in this article.
I'm not tense, just terribly, terribly alert!

Yea, local TV person did a bit on them the other night. I had a great deal of interest until I found out that you have to parboil the potatoes first. What the hell good is that?
