Greeting to all in the Bakers Forum,
Working on a class for amateurs. Topic is Resto style desserts u can make @ home. If any of you have a minute, can you hit me with a top 10 list? Just need some inspiration to kick start my process.

OK heres my start

Champagne Mousse

Triple Chocolate Cheesecake ( Oh stop groaning. This is what suburbia orders, right?)

Green Apple Sorbet in Apple Shell

French Pear Tarts w carmel


What else ?

Well, I'm not exactly "main stream" but here's my thoughts.....

Cheesecake Crema on Dried Apricot(s)

Fruit Skewer flamed with Cointreau (sp?)

Berry Crepe with Fresh whipped cream

and the old standby......


Tiramisu served with a shot of espresso & kahlua on the side...........

The tiramisu is just a recipe i found on the net a few years ago, and modified it to my preferences (I use my cheese instead of mascarpone).

Then, to fancy it up, I make little chocolate cups about the size of a shot glass & then fill with cooled espresso and kahlua, top with a bit of whipped cream and voila! nice ending to a perfect dessert!
