Postby Richtee on Sun Aug 12, 2007 3:39 pm

Can't seem to find one 'round. Can some of you share?

I'll post my regular "Spaghetti" sauce recipe for a trade :{)

Gonna answer my own question...heh. found out yesterday that Palomino is a combo of Alfredo and a red meat sauce...

Butter, heavy cream and parm/romano mix and POOF..Palomino!

VERY good with a touch of extra basil in my posted pasta sauce recipe- maybe drop the olives.

And does this red meat derive from an animal with a golden or tan coat and a white or cream-colored mane and tail? Image

Heh... I'm not sure where the name came from, but as long as you simmer it long enough horse will work OK.

BTW...I just realized "red meat sauce" is kinda deceiving..the red refers to the tomato content. Huh...never looked at it the other way. I have sometimes made red meat sauce with only "The Other White Meat" heh

Was wondering what would happen if someone from PETA saw "Palmonio Sauce" on the menu. Image

PETA? People Eating Tasty Animals?

That would be my interpretation. After all, there are two basic food groups: meat and more meat. Image

So..... you basically just add butter, cream and pecorino/romano cheese to a tomato meat sauce? What about just a smooth tomato sauce?

Either or I guess. I have seen it both ways, but it seems the meatless is more popular. Not with me tho!

I will try it with both thanks. I prefer meat as well and your salad quote is funny.
