Yep!
It's ol' Rocco's blog.
Geeeeez, doesn't he have some sausage to sell on QVC?
Really liked his dig at Bourdain in on of the blogs though- spot on.

I hate Rocco.
I hate his products.
I hate his books.
I hated his show.

I feel better now, thank you.

"My final note on Anthony Bourdain’s final note. I think that makes it final-final.

Tony how are we so different? After more than 20 years behind the stove you left the restaurant business--so did I. You author and sell (admittedly much better written) books--so do I. You’re on TV--so am I. You write blogs--so do I. You speak your mind and have dedicated your life to entertaining people and so do I.

I was stunned when I read your comments comparing me to Eric Clapton. I am grateful and didn’t know you felt that way about me, but I am still confused. Now it’s my virtuosity behind the stove that makes me such a loser? Don’t you see--it’s as absurd for you to insist I open a restaurant as it is for me to ask you to do the same. It’s not that I refuse to open a restaurant (who knows given the right situation), I just don’t need to cook at a 40-seater in a bad neighborhood to become the sunshine of your love again. You can enjoy my cooking anytime, no reservations."

It was the final page of his August14 entry.
A response to the blog Bourdain had just posted about why no one could take Rocco seriously.

Wow. An inside reference to Cream weaved into a rant-back at Bourdain. Rockie musta surveyed an English 101 course at Columbia in between Lincoln ad gigs. Image

Although I have a disadain for both of these guys - the difference between Bourdain and Rockie is that Tony took the brass ring and actually did some smart things with it. Granted there was a huge amount of luck involved, but Tony at least took the cards dealt and played them quite well. Rockie, however, had someone else ante for him and then pi$$ed the game away because he thought he was smarter and more talented than he actually was. Hence Bourdain's still a marketable commodity and Rockie is the media chef you turn to if you can't afford Mario, Bourdain or Rachel. That is unless Paula, Gordon or Bobby are out of the price range also.

Rockie. Pffft.

True, but I still think it was an even handed and accurate jab.

For all Bourdain's attempts at self deprecatory humour it always belies that he still REALLY thinks he's quite cool.
Rocco's a pud but at least he doesn't run around calling other kettles black for a living.

Which is worse? Being the pud?
or
being the pud that does nothing but standing around critiquing other puds?

OMG.
I think I accidentally just came out as disliking Rocco LESS than Tony.

I'm not sure how I feel right now.

I think Rocco is still marketable because housewives don't know of him acting like a petulant toddler on TV, but think he is kind of cute, so they buy into it.

It's really okay that for today you dislike Rocco less than Tony. You'll soon see Rocco doing something very lame and the tides will turn again.

They prove the saying,

"when 2 egos walk into the same room,
they both think they should be the only one".

I see blogs as little more than self centeredness.
Even I don't care what I THINK.
